The 744 Turbo hit 300k last month on the original engine and transmission. I love this car!

    Congrats to you!

I just departed with my 88 760T after 315,000 miles...donated it to the Purple heart Org...!

    The XC90 is nice....but I miss my 760...!

If you need I have a few minor spare piece parts and oil filters on hand...

Congrats! I'll be there in about 14,000 miles, or about a year-and-a-half (in spite of what my signature says...I can't change it). Get a 300,000 badge and display it proudly!

"Get a 300,000 badge and display it proudly!"

      Done!

...except it's not a badge anymore, now they give out lame arse stickers.

      Thanks Ford...

    Sweet! congratz!
I'm 26K from 300K myslef, but I can't say original trans or engine thanks to the PO.
    Congrats on it :)
What was the biggest problem? and did you have any maintenance (aside from oil changes) that you did religiously? Anything weird happen or wear unusually?

and btw, as for going fast, I made sure that I was doing 90 when I rolled over 250K in my 744t :D plan on the same for 300K.

btw, I notice better driving after cleaning my coil contacts.

I haven't really had to do much to it. I'm the third owner, the first took very good care of it, always dealer serviced. My cousin's wife had it for a year or two and sold it to me when they moved to Hawaii. Best $1500 I've ever spent.

In the six years or so that I've had it, it's received 2 timing belts, a water pump (elective surgery), a radiator, tailshaft bushing, 2 1/2" exhaust, two cats and multiple tuneups.

It needs a Hall Sensor and the front window regulators rebuilt/replaced. It could also use a paint job, but that isn't going to happen for some time.

Non-maintainance items include e-codes with relays, a decent steering wheel, window tint, coin tray, wheels and tires and a cupholder armrest.

      Roll On!

Nice going. I will be joining you in another 97,000 miles. The 1990 945T is the pinnacle of owner-maintainable automotive history, in my humble opinion.

The Alfetta GT/GTV is a sweet little car. Check it really well for rust, especially around the windshield and wheel wells. The Alfa twin-cam is one of the better engines on the planet, IMHO.
