Eating Fuel Pump Relays 200

My '85 245 keeps going through fuel pump relays. The guys at IPD suggest checking the draw at the fuse box for the two fuel pumps. They said the draw should be around 10. What do you guys suggest? And how do I fix it? I'm not savvy when it comes to electrical.

Thanks

Is there any moisture inside the relay?I have seen many cases where the relays fill with water.it starts with a poorly sealed wiper motor or leaky windshield and then a relay forgets to be mounted properly(left hanging or just shoved up under the felt, then water runs down the wires into the relay and "BAM" premature failure. Relay should be mounted with white side up connector facing down.If your pumps are drawing too much, the fuse will probably feel hot to the touch while the car is running.

Hello
if your meter only goes to 10 and the draw is higher it could possibly damage the meter i believe.
you could test each pump individually.
i suggest to check the 6 pin connector that goes to the fuel pump relay, maybe tighten up the spade connectors inside the plastic connector and check/clean.
also clean/replace the 25 amp fuse in the engine bay and clean up the battery terminals.
its a start.
good luck
mike
