My Odometer/trip is dead now,on my 84 244 GL,how do I fix this.Theirs an broken gear?Iam reading about?

Here's a great link, tells you all you need to know. Also, has a link to Odometer Gears Ltd. for the replacement gear. I followed these steps and had it done in 1 hour!

Update,yep fix it.Took apart,found loose gear.Put some gorilla glue on slipping gear shaft.
