Where's the best price out there for Bosch O2 sensors? 200 1986

Autozone has the Bosch OE plug and play O2 sensor part #13957 for $135. I've found it online in places for around $70. Mine is the one that is on the header pipe and not on the cat. Does anyone know of a better place and price out there for the OE Bosch sensor? I'll be installing a new cat next week and want everything fresh.
Thanks in advance.

I got the one that Dan recommended from AutoZone part #13913 and it was $40 with tax. Thanks for the help and everyone for your input. My new Bosal cat came today too. That's my project for this weekend.

Go to auto zone and get a bosch sensor for a mid 90's mustang 5.0 engine. Just make sure it is the heated one with the extra wire that heats it instantly when the car is started. The harness will not fit your car but you can clip the harness off and wire it directly into your volvo harness. I bought one not long ago and I think it was somewhere between $30 and $35 The only difference in most 02 sensors is the harness and whether they are heated or not. My works great and I really needed it because my old one was shot.

Isn't that the truth. They just change the connectors. That's a cheap trick done on lots automotive things like pumps and relays for the O.E.M. cause.

The practice of how the sensor reaction works is the same for all. If you think about it. Why reinvent the wheel when some gets something to work and besides they may have patented it.

The heater is just another scam invented (to change the patent game) to jack up the price. You can buy a ceramic heater to set on your seat to heat the whole car for 30 bucks!

I use a single wire one because the test is done on a drive up basis. The engine has already ran longer than that 20 seconds to preheat the sensor.

If the engine doesn't pass smog on the machine. It will be for some other reason as long as the sensor puts out its proper low voltage values.

The heater may or may not last as long as the sensor and the ECU doesn't care. The heater is not in the closed loop under the smog test. If they made the ECU aware of its function it would ignore the problem once its goes closed loop with the proper signal. It becomes a mute issue. No CEL code needed.

The Mustang setup sounds like away to by an American product. Then again who says any suppliers do that either.

Leave them alone and the price will fall!

Phil

I used a bosch #11027 from my local NAPA store on my '86. It's a single wire - no heater type. Worked perfectly fine for me. If I recall correctly, it was about $20.

Is this a single wire (no heater) sensor?

Hi Dan,

Volvo phased in the heated sensor mid-year 1984 on the 200 series.

Thanks Art, I couldn't remember exactly what my 85 had. Autozone has a 3 wire Bosch 13913 that will work fine on your 86 for about $40. You splice on your connector.

Dan
