One-Part Hub/Rotor 1987 (Brakes) 700 1987

Before I remove these, (front rotors)is there any reason these cannot be resurfaced? This early one piece set up is new to me with the integral caliper mount. Thanks in advance.

P.S. Searched FAQ and found reference to '88 on only.

    Howdy,

The question is; how much is too much? That information is stamped into the rotor. Don't cut even 0.010 more than specified; the disk WILL warp. Ask me how I know this. ;-)

    Original Thickness
    Front
    Solid ..................................... .55 (14.0)
    Vented (ATE) .............................. .87 (22.1)
    Vented (Girling) ........................... 1.02 (26)
    Rear ......................................... .38 (9.6)
    Minimum Refinish Thickness ........................... (2)
    Discard Thickness
    Front
    Solid .................................... .433 (11.0)
    Vented (ATE) .............................. .79 (20.0)
    Vented (Girling) ................................. (1)
    Rear ....................................... .315 (8.00)

    (1) - Information not available.
    (2) - Always use minimum thickness specification stamped
    on rotors.
