Boost reduces vacuum closing vents 200 1985

My Brick is a 1985TIC...When engine is in boost vents seem to close reducing air flow into cabin...Never noticed this before I repaired my AC...Is there a check valve to prevent this and if so where is it located...Thanks in advance

There should be a one way valve located on the intake manifold. It looks like an oreo cookie with one side taken off. Probably just dirty.

I don't know about the turbo version, but you could add one in the vacuum supply line and even add a larger vacuum tank. Going into boost is going to remove the vacuum source, so maybe even a small electric vacuum pump would do what you want. Some diesel cars have them, so finding one should not be a problem.
