Is the quality of rebuilt compressors generally good? I found a good deal on a remanufactured Diesel Kiki DKS15CH or I can buy a new yama/seltec TM15HD for $60 more.

Any obvious choice?

Try nostalgic air parts (.com), many folks like the Sanden 7 style compressors better than the Diesel Kiki's.

Try centuryautoair.com . They're located in Tuscon, AZ. Very helpfull and knowledgeable. Plenty of AC compressor and repair parts available on line.
