Tailgate Window Seal Needed for '93 240 200

I'm installing a '93 tailgate on an '89 245 that is being painted. There was a large amount of butyl rubber coming from under the seal around the glass and since it was proving to be impossible to remove all of it, we removed the glass and the seal in order to do the painting.

The old seal isn't in perfect shape and I would like to find a new one to put on the car after the painting is done. The glass is in fine shape and we want to reuse it. What I really need is a soure for the seal and the channel-like trim piece that surrounds the edge of the glass.

Has anyone ever had this same experience or know of a source for the seal?

Anyone have access to a greenbook that covers this latest tailgate glass swap?

Thanks.

Hello.

I may be wrong here, but I think the glass and seal are sold as one piece and one piece only. I say this because we had ours shattered by a local last fall and paid through the nose because we couldn't find one used.

So if I'm reading you right, you need the rubber around the glass in the gate, but I don't think they sell it that way. The later models (ours is also a 93) is a one-piece affair.

Apologies if I read you wrong or if someone can correct me...
