I knew my down pipe had a few small holes in it, but now it looks like the cat pipe is starting to crack. Were can I get a replacement for cheap? does anyone make a cat bypass pipe for the 240? For off-road use only, of course!!!!

I had the down pipe and cat drop off on the highway last Thursday! I paid a fortune to get it replaced in order to get us home the following day. I wish i had caught it sooner and saved myself the money. FCP had those parts at a decent price.

I just did mine from FCP it was like $120 and at $150 it gets shipped for free...I'd sell you my old cat and you could bust all the crap out of it and use it??? I replaced mine because it was all loose and clogging the exhaust. The Troopers now check for that stuff and give you a $300 ticket One of my neighbors got one last summer driving his pickup in WI they pulled out a mirror and looked under his truck... With the revenue losses states are experiencing now I'm sure they will be looking to replace it some how some way...

I don't think they make those 'cheater' pipes anymore.

Yeah, I've heard they will check for no cat. Never heard of that in Ohio though. I'm just going to have to replace it. My Saab 900's exhaust pipe was straight enough, that I was able to make my own by-pass pipe. Worked great and when I added a performance exaust, it gave me a nice power boost. Sweet sound too! The 240's pipe has a few too many bends.
