I was noodling around ebay looking to see if there were any Schuco tin cars similiar to a couple I have and came across this Monte Carlo Rallye 544 miniature that someone here may have an interest in---16 hours in the auction when I saw it--I have no connection--ebay # 380162933200 ---- Dave

I bought that. Anyone who collects PV minatures knows that few are available. Revell made a 1:18 scale one. It is not of any one particular year as it combines features of several years. It was not imported to the USA but they do show up on ebay occasionally. They came in dark blue, dark red and the rally verison. They average about $50. Since the last post I bought a blue one. I took some photos of them yesterday. I thought they came out pretty good for a basic digital camera at least seven years old.

I was glad to see that someone picked up on my original post and that you were able to add it to your fine collection. Your photos are nice--especially seeing them juxtaposed with the real thing. The models are detailed enough it might make an interesting photo to pose them close up on dirt with hills or other dramatic topography in the background. My guess is they could fool many viewers. How about that nice NC weather for Thanksgiving--we spent ours in Winston-Salem. -- Dave

Thanks, if I had a better camera I could. It has been a great fall when it's not raining. I took me PV544 for a ride yesterday in the 65 degree sunshine.
