We've been having torrential rain for the last few days, and I noticed that the door scraper seals (between the glass and the door) on my 144 just absorb water rather than repelling it. They are also quite cracked in places. If I leave them like this the door bottoms will rust out pretty quick I assume. I've been trying to figure out whether seals from the 240 are the same, but all I've managed to learn is that early 140 seals are different (and much cheaper) than later 140 seals.

I assume removal and fitting is straightforward (I know for sure that removal will be, as they will just fall apart!)

Any advice would be much appreciated.

The bead that holds them in can be HARD to completely remove. I ground an icepick into a
bent chisel shape to get them out on my 69 164 and ended up stabbing myself fairly deeply
a couple times. The exposed part is degraded but the protected part is not, or not so bad.
If it seems stuck into the groove a bit of penetrating oil and more poking may help loosen it.

I got some for my '70 from John at Boston Village. I don't remember the details of installation but it wasn't a horror. One thing is that I had to trim them to fit and I did so very precisely but two years later they have shrunk over 1/4".
