fuel injector interchangeability 700 1990

why won't 1992, 940, fuel injectors, (yellow), work in my 1990 740T, (green)?

    I have run an injector from a 740 non-turbo (unsure of which ignition)on my 91 940 turbo w/ zero issues for 2 years. Old injector was intermitant (fun to find). Only difference I could find was flow, I think 270cc/min? vs 300. If you aren't on the dragstrip I don't see a problem.

    Different resistance for sure, and I think more flow on the turbo injectors.

    There are a couple of very highly rated and inexpensive injector rebuilder/refurbishers that people here have used (~$15 each, if memory serves). Search the archives for details.
