Bought new bushing from Volvo for front A Arm ,do bushings need to be pressed out at machine shop and new bushings pressed in?Have taken arm off car on pass side.

Only the front one in the A arm, the rear one can be hammered out of the bracket pretty easily.

Yes they do need to be pressed in and out.
