I thought I had my bases covered by having this turbo rebuilt about 5 years ago, new oil lines and all, and using only synthetic oil. Alas, there are no guarantees in life. The turbine blades in the front of the turbo do not spin at all or have any radial movement. Despite the recent lack of acceleration and the usual cylinder blowby in a 19 year old car with 475 000 km on it, it runs quite well.

Anyone have any experience with buying rebuilt turbos and a source, Ontarion preferred?
