car won't start sometimes 200 1993

Ok, guys, you've helped me before and i need help again. I have a 93 240 wagon. 2 weeks ago we replace the ignition switch and all was well until this morning. After starting it 3 or 4 times my turn signals quite working. I changed the fuse and all was fine with th signals. But the car wouldn't start. all the lights came on etc but no turnover. I tried 3 more times over ht nex thour and a half and nothing. my mechanic came and got in and it started right up. he took it and took th neg cable of the battery and started chcking fuses with his test light hooked up.. he has a short in th #6 fuse . when he pulled it (fuel pump fuse) the car ran fine adn the test lite went out. awhen he got to #8 his test light flashed very dimly. he unhooked the radio and clock and it still flashes. he let it run for 1 and a half hours trying to get it to get hot if it is a overheating problem on something. he then went and made 4 stops (on and off) and it started everytime. this happened a few years back and we over rode the starter with a push button. it finally died and so we replace the ignition switch 2 weeks ago...HELP!!!!! any ideas will be greatly appreciated...

thanks
nancy

My 93 245 done pretty much some of the same, and I still have yet to get it going ...just have to find the time.

I had a distributor rotor that was burned up, replaced it but it was not the prob. One of the old hands here said that if after turning over the motor and there was no gas on the plugs, it was more than likely the CPS. That is the next thing for me, and I am pretty sure that will fix it. Just have to do it.

    Wish you well with yours.
