My 945 will not start after it sits about a week. The battery is almost dead when I try to start it. The charging system and battery check out OK after I jumper it and drive it for about 10 minutes. Any ideas?

    If your car has an underhood work light, check to see if it shuts off with the hood closed. You can close the hood almost to the latch and peek under to see if the light goes out. Normally a draw like that would kill your battery in less time than you describe but worth a look.

    The alternator will cause excessive current draw if it has bad diodes.Remove the large cable from the alt and recheck the draw.

    I would measure the leakage current. Disconnect the negative battery cable and insert an ammeter. Mine measures about 3-5mA. If it's much higher than that I would start removing fuses one at a time and take more current readings.
