New to the 444... 444-544

Hi all, just wanted to share my newest aquisation. I'm a proud new owner of a '57 444. Just picked it up today. Turned in one of my 122's for this guy.

Little surface rust, structurally really really sound, and interior is a little rough. Runs strong with a b20 followed by an m40. The only immediate issue to tackle is a sharp pull to the left when braking.
Anyways, just thought I'd share!
I'll probably have more questions as I get into it.

Are you maintaining a work log or anything anywhere? I just picked up a '57 444 as well, about 2 months ago. Considerably worse shape than yours though, as I pulled mine out of a field where it had sat for the last 20 years. The interior is in surprisingly good shape though.

Yeah, I actually started up a rough little car blog w/ a couple friends... rattyti.com... we're hoping to really document everything we do. So when things start rollin' on the '57 I'll be posting about it.

I tried to do a log, but didn't get very far because I stopped touching the car (need to get the 145 in a bit better shape first). I should probably just include the 145, to make it more of a habit to update the thing.

It does have some of my initial impressions of the car, from a cosmetic/body standpoint. It'll be a fun one to get back on the road.

Is there any manual for this guy? I found a user manual online, but can't seem to find any sort of technical manual... anywhere I should be looking?

There is an old Floyd Clymer manual that is pretty good. I think there may be one on ebay now.
It covers the early 122s and 1800s also.
