940 trailer wiring 900 1994

Is there a dedicated electrical 'plug in' for trailer lights on a '94 940 sedan?

Otherwise , I have the Wesco electronic adapter to hard wire in the trunk but wondering wheres the best place to splice in.

Thanks John, no need to go out to the garage for the part number.
The '91 is similiar to the '94. '97 is different like you said.

Don't know about a 94, but there is no dedicated plug on a 91 940. I used a Suburu kit I got from the Volvo dealer for about 20 bucks to hook up the trailer lights on the 91.
However, on our 97 960, I paid about 400 bucks from the Volvo dealer for the correct conversion setup. Apparently the newer cars (like the 97) are quite a bit more complicated than the older ones like my 91. The installation of the Volvo OEM kit on the 97 was very easy, but expensive. The instructions are very good. If you need the kit part numbers, I can run out to the shop and find them for you.
I suggest you call your dealer and see if the 94 requires the conversion kit or not.
John D.
