2 questions 444-544

Can anyone advise what the measurement for standard head thickness and intake/exhaust valve diameter(measured at the top of the valve) should be? This is a 1964 B18 head. I am trying to determine if the head/valves have been modified. Thanks, Skeet

(Old age is catching up with me!)
All B18B and B18D have 40mm (1.58") intake valves and 35mm (1.38") exhaust valves.
Info from same manual.
Best regards!

The dimensions you want are probably the head thicknesses.
These are out of the B18 B/D service manual dated 2/69, TP10115/2.
B18B type I 87.0 mm (3.425")
Type 2 and 3 86.2 mm (3.394")
B18D 88mm (3.465")
Hope this is helpful.

If it's the valve stem diameter you are after---B18-more than 8mm-----B20-8mm (5/16"). Not precise measurements, I know, but should be close enough to find what you have there. - Dave
