one wire alternator conversion 444-544

Just got a 1959 544 with a b18 motor (496817393) if any one knows the year of this motor that would be great.I would like to do the alternator conversion with a G M one wire alternator. Can some one talk me through this? Will the IPD bracket work on the GM alternator? Does the fellow from sw-embassy still make his bracket? What does the wiring look like? thanks for your help .This is my first post but Im sure not my last,becouse someone has hooked up a later model bosh electronic ignition to it also. thanks again rick

Rick;

IPD bracket allows mounting or Bosch alt.

My kit allows mounting Delco Alt...and not just in the simplified one-wire hook-up, but with correct voltage sensing and AMP Indicator function....the choice is yours! For info and discussions on this, please see: http://www.sw-em.com/altkit.htm

Cheers

496817 is a B18B that came with "C" cam and dual HS6 carbs rated at 108 HP.
It was used in the PV544 Sport G and early P1800s.
