inside window scrapers 120-130 1967

I have just recieved window chanels and scrapers from Olaf, thank you.

Now, the inside scrapers with the chrome edge and felt... are these 'glued' in or is there a channel that they fit into. There is a little rust here and there, which makes it difficult to determine how to take the old scraper off.

EDIT: Stapled!!! How in the heck can I get the new one on!

My windows are going to stop rattling soon!

I just drilled new holes for the smallest , short sheet metal screws I could get, the heads bury themselves in the fuzzies, worked great, solid and easy, Mike

Removing chanels in rear door 120-130 1967

Is this like the front windows, except backwards? Remove the upper window trim, unscrew the lower support for the rear channel, and then pull the fixed window forward?????

Two hours of 90F with a dew point in the 70's is al it took. The pieces from Olaf are all longer than stock and need to be cut.

Liquid nails for the first inside window scraper/fuzzy. We will see tomorrow.

I removed the staples the old fashioned way, needle nose pliers to bend them straight and then lift.

What was rattling was the staples aginst the glass.

Staples??? Through metal? Popeye must have worked there.

I think there were holes in the metal. I think I used fine baling war.

Needle and wire thread? I was thinking more on the lines of liquid nails or some other contact cement.

I did get all of the channels out and replaced. 2 hours for the right rear door, most of it was trying to figure out which of the new pieces went where.

The window goes up/down and no longer rattles.

Didn't use a needle. Probably about #22 wire, pushed it through and tied it in back.

Let us know what you eventually use to hold those window fuzzies in place, since replacing those is near the top of my winter to-do list.

Cheers,

Liquid nails for the window fuzzy 120-130 1967

The hardest part was cutting them to fit, the ones Olaf sent me are 1/2 inch too long.

I am trying liquid nails right now. If it appears solid tomorrow, I will use it for the rest of them.
