Fuel pump ground 140-160

Recently, I was up in nowhere Washington, the '73 145S wouldn't start, apparently the fuel pump ground on the top of the fuel tank was crusty, did have a great view of Mt. Rainier while I was tracing this down for 3 hrs...luckily, the fish were biting, so we had a great trout dinner when we got home, nothing like a dead Volvo at the end of the road to get all of the grounds and contacts cleaned up...geesh louise!

Are you saying the earth wire attaches to one of the fuel tank screws? That's a really bad earth because the tank sits in a layer of Mastic as well as being screwed down.

Isn't it amazing how they will work through all that stuff until ALL OF A SUDDEN,
Nothing!
Next time you'll figure it out a lot quicker!
BTW I assume it is a 145E, rather than a 145S...
