Drain plug leaking?

Has anyone had their drain plug leak? I have just acquired a 1996 960 and the drain plug leaks. I got new genuine Volvo crush washers but it leaks just the same. Not a huge leak but very irritating. Would the next step to put more than one washer or to go crazy and but another drain plug? It is very obvious where it is leaking. The plug with washer does seems to be prevented from closing the gap between it and the oil pan. Maybe the pan got knocked slightly out of shape at some point? Is there any alternative to the normal crush washer that would span a larger gap then normal. The leak produces a puddle about the size of a gallon paint top.

Thanks very much,

Jim Lee

Drain plug leaking?

First off, I like your sig. It's appropriate for my 740.... and my 240. Hm.

Anyway.

I would go for a new drainplug from a pull-a-part or ebay. Should be under $20 even from ebay with high shipping.
