Photo series of rear Trailing Arm Bushing replacement IPD poly, HomeBrew tool 200 1993

I just replaced the rear trailing arm bushings on son's 93 245. I used the polyurethane kit from IPD and the HomeBrew tool. I took photos (45) of the process, step by step. I've used Power Point to prepare a 'How-to' series. BUT, I don't know how to post these on the Brick Board for others to use (& enjoy!).
Any body have any suggestions?

Sign up with dropbox.com and post a link to it... Or send to Art Benstein and he could always post.

I will load up into a thumb-drive (old one with 1/2 gig) and snail-mail it to Art and he can post it up on brickboard.
Now to send out a shout-out to Art.
Email?
thanks,

I'm guessing when I hear from Genaro, the .ppt will be too large to email -- something about that reference to a 1/2 gig. The first task would be to scale down the images to web-friendly sizes and compression. We'll have to work that out.

I have some good images from David Samuels showing a poly TAB installation. They are from 5 years ago, and the captions are mine, strictly from memory. If Mr. Samuels sees this, I hope he will approve and help me tune it up. http://www.cleanflametrap.com/polybushings/ I've only used the rubber TABs myself.

Good evening Mr. B. and other bushing browsers.

Anything on the site about poly TABs grabs my attention. Strangely, I've done two sets of these in the last week! I have no new pictures to offer, but I'll swing by that address and check comments.

I was most curious about the poster's use of the "homebrew" tool. I know that, in recent years, iPD has listed empty bushing shells to "go with" the poly bushings. Are they now selling poly in the shell? I'll have to check. In twenty years, and I've lost track of how many TABs I've done, I've yet to find a shell that was rusted badly enough to need replacing, but I guess it does happen. My concern is that iPD is leading people to believe they need to buy and replace the shells as a mandatory part of the procedure with urethane TABs. IMHO, the beauty of the urethane bushings is not having to remove the shell.

Just as an aside, I bought someone's homebrew tool here off the brickboard awhile back, as mine has never been returned to me by its borrower. I may never use it, but someday, someone is going to have a rusted shell or insist on rubber bushings. I'll e-mail comments on the photos, and next time I do a set, I'll take some new shots.

Best,
DS

If you think dogs can't count, try putting three dog biscuits in your pocket and then give him only two of them. -Phil Pastoret

Hello Art:
Did you see the photos I put up in Photobucket for this procedure?

http://s1231.photobucket.com/home/elprofeGLo/recentuploads?view=slideshow

IF so, I hope you are able to provide a link in the FAQ or somewhere so that other Brickboarders who want to install poly bushings or who want to use the Homebrew TAB tool can see them later on.
Thanks for your help.
