So I wanted to share with everyone an easy mod for adding additional accessory rocker switches when you've run out of room at the center console. I've seen the mod where you can add two additional switches to where the cigarette lighter is. But this mod allows you to add two additional switches without losing the cigarette lighter, or the SRS terminal for later cars, or the seatbelt warning light.

It's actually not my idea. 245's that were used as taxis in Europe or elsewhere had a rocker switch to control a larger/brighter interior dome light. The switch was located on the left side of the steering column cover. I have that accessory, so the left side was taken up. I made a template and cut out a similar hole at the same location on the right side of the steering column cover. You have to be precise where you locate the hole, as there is JUST enough room to fit the switch before the steering column itself prevents clearance.

I have all available slots on the center console taken up, and I wanted to move the fog light switch because I found it too bright and distracting at night.
