I'm experiencing a intermitent very hard start on my '90 740 GLE 16 valve. It happens with the car cold or warm. Sometimes I have to crank longer than usual,sometimes 2 or 3 times and a few days ago did start at all and other times it starts promptly. After it starts it runs fine.Could it be a cold start injector problem?

    Can you check for spark when it's not running?

    The 16-valves use LH 2.4, and all of the same components as an LH 2.4 8-v 240/740/940.

    As such, I'd first suspect the crank sensor and power stage.

    Any OBD codes? Be sure to check sockets #2 and #6.
