Wire to take dash light power to rheostat(dimmer) on console, 140/240 140-160 1973

I'm slowly getting the dash and console back together on the Yellow Peril.
Most of the stuff works now. But I seem to have misplaced the wire that
goes across to feed power to the panel light dimmer rheostat.
Before I run another one across, can anyone tell me what this wire looks like,
what color it is and where it comes out from?
The dash light wires are mostly gray and I finally got them routed correctly after
several false starts, but I am not finding a wire that is hot only when the lights are on.
BTW when I hooked up the battery and turned on the switch, there was NO blinding flash
or zapping or sizzling sounds!
As soon as I get power to the dimmer rheostat I can go ahead and put the console on,
then I can start with the glove compartment and instrument panel.
(Yeah, I know I've been slow but there has been a lot going on!)

I finally ran a white wire across from the white wire on the light switch.
    Seems to work OK.

In my Greenbook, the wire to the rheostat is brown & it comes from the RHS of the 10th fuse & is the only thing attached to that fuse. The LHS of fuses 10, 11 & 12 (the bottom 3) are feed by a white wire which comes from the headlight switch. Fuses 11 & 12 feed the parkers on one side or the other.

I finally ran a white wire across from the white wire on the light switch.

The wire has no fuse, the big red wire which feeds the headlight switch comes directly from the four screw block that lives on top of your mudgaurd under the bonnent.

I think I found the brown wire to the rheostat. It was hooked to the seatbelt buzzer
and jumped from there to the seatbelt light.
It is powered when the lights are on.
I had the buzzer out a couple times (the second time to disable it).
(How could anyone design such an obnoxious sound device??)
I hooked the brown wire to the rheostat and it seems to work OK.
I'll pull the unfused white wire out now.
