Does ahyone remember if the seatbelt latch (red) light up? I almost remember a light bulb once when I had it apart. Am I wrong? ....and does it light up when the ignition is on or only with headlights?

Yes, there is a light in the seat-belt housing. I replaced one last week and to be honest... it's really not worth replacing because it isn't all that bright; even with an LED replacement. If you need to see just turn the dome light on.

There ia bulb of sorts in there on my 740...the passenger side lights but I think the drivers side is blown. It comes on when the headlights are turned on..at least in my 740.

I went to the trouble to replace mine and they were barely visible in the dark. Not worth the expense or time to replace in my opinion.
