bench test oxygen sensor 900

hello all
want to test three extra rex/regina o2 sensors i have left over since i sold the car.
has a red white and black wire. black is heater i believe.
have a propane torch and dmm.
done it before but forget what wires to hook to and what setting on dmm.
i think i am looking for a nice swing as i wave the torch back and forth?
thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,

The Regina (titania-based) sensors don't generate a voltage like the Bosch zirconia ones. The Regina ECU sends a voltage TO a resistance in the sensor, then reads how much voltage is returned.

So I don't think you can test it with a torch and meter (2 volt scale) like with the Bosch sensor.

Maybe Art knows?
