940T Looses power at speed 900 1993

Hello all,
My 1993 940T at 281k miles is suddenly loosing power on the highway but suddenly regains power after a few seconds.

The check engine light is starting to come on and off.

Car seems to run fine but suddenly does not respond to the gas pedal but regains response. This has only happened a few times in the last few days

Any ideas on what this is.

Your MAF is dying, the symptoms you describe are it in its death throes. This will start to happen more and more frequently and for longer and longer periods of time. Only real way to test for this intermittent problem is to swap out with known good and see if the problem goes away. Could be other things; by all means check for codes but this would be the most likely scenario if the car is driving fine otherwise.
