Hi all,

I have a 1990 740 with B230F and AW71 tranny. Does anyone know the part number for the kickdown cable as I have gone to a volvo dealer here in australia and apparently the vin number does not help them, they need the 3 numbers of the side of the gearbox, because apparently there are a few different ones, so the plan is to buy one of the internet because it is alot cheaper.

Is your cable broken or stuck? If it's just stuck, you might might get it freed up like I did. Which is why I have a new OE 1239932 cable still in the Volvo baggie (made in Japan, BTW). Too bad I'm here in the icy middle of NY State.

you need a 1239932. fits all aw trans in 200, 700 and 900 w b230 engines. note the b234 is different, probably the reason for the mystery. good luck, chuck.
