New Water Pump Purchased - Hard to Turn 200

I just bought a water pump (240) and it seems hard to turn (rotate). Shouldn't it turn easily ? What could be wrong ?

    Hello,


    The Waterpump shaft will not spin around like a bicycle wheel spins, for minutes at a time. Remember, there will be some friction because of the grease and seals on the bearings and shaft.

    First off, what brand of water pump did you buy?
