transfer fuel pump(in tank) job

hi volvo sages-this may be a job for art ben. finally getting around this weekend to replacing the tank fuel pump in my 92 volvo 240 wagon. read the bentley instructions and art b's excellent walk through. seems pretty straight forward. the writeups cover the sedan and the regular wagon(no 3d seat). my wagon has the 3d seat. i need to get access to the this pump/sending unit through the floor. how do i get that access- do i have to take out the panels and 3d seat unit? the panel in front of the 3d seat floor door seems to unscrew from behind the bend down rear seat back, but there are no screws apparent on the other end of the floor panel unless unscrewing bolts that hold the 3d seat door down have to come off. am i off the track or right on? hope someone who has done this job can advise me. love shortcuts from sages. thanks tons in advance. oldduke

Maybe you can quickly edit your new post. You still didn't get it into any forum. Just look up at the line containing the words MODEL/YEAR ALL ALL -- use the drop down arrows to select your model and year. Then more folks will see your post, as very few of us look at all RWD models.

I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.

Bump.

It may help if you re-post this with a more specific question in the title -- Suggest "240 In Tank Pump Access Under Wagon Third Seat?"

Also, if you select model and year from the drop down options, you'll have a wider audience.

Surely you saw this link on my site, but in case you missed it, and it is possibly helpful: http://cleanflametrap.com/thirdseat.html

Best wishes old duke.
