Michelin X Still available from Sams Club

I no longer have any bricks, but when I did, I got 90k miles reliably from Michelin X tires. Smooth, quiet, good wet and dry traction. Not great in snow, but few all season tires are great in snow.

Ok, East Coast Boy that I am, I had to google that unpronounceable thing you drive thru. That looks like a good place to have real winter tires in the winter. If you can afford seasonal tires, that's probably the prudent thing to do.

Otherwise, as to all-seasons: I'm pleased as punch with the Yokohama Avids on my 940. Grippy, quiet, stable, and smooth-riding. I have some discontinued h-rated BFG T/A on my 240, and while I love the way they handle and grip, they are noisy and hard-riding. And the yokos were passable in the snow (less so the ice) this winter in VA, driving on mostly unplowed streets.

My experiences with Michelins are not positive. You pay a lot for the snoot factor of driving sur les Michelins. My 240 came with some godawful Michelin Harmony's on it, totally not up to the task.

The suggestions to look at tirerack.com are spot-on. You probably don't want to order from them, but you can do some comparison shopping quite easily there and find out what's available.

    need new tires-check the date 200 1989

Whatever tires you look at, IF they are new and a really good, almost unbelievable price, check the manufacture date. I mentioned this in another post-tires can deteriorate just setting on the shelf. Some independent -and yes the "biggies" too-tire shops look for them to get at a good wholesale price due to age, and pass them off to the customer at a discount price. Good luck.

Go to tirerack.com They offer a wide range of tires and are a good source for tire reviews. Their cost is very competitive and you can have them shipped to several tire chains that will install them for you.
I believe Michelin has a $70.00 discount running for a few more days on 4 tires that tire rack also honers..
