ODOMETER FAILURE ON 850.
We've had many models of Volvo and many have this problem of a plastic gear losing it's teeth. Our "new" 850 has a non working odometer and I must ask if it the same problem after all these years and models. Incredible that a company
would not correct it. Any help in describing the fix would be appreciated.

If you're asking whether odometers were prone to failure on the RWD model Volvos as well, the answer is yes!

I, like you, am surprised they didn't correct it in the 850. After all, the car's computer stores the actual mileage. Why not just have a digital OD?
