Is there a place where i can by new volvo lenses for the 240? All i seem to be finding is the entire headlight for sale and all i need are the lenses.

    Hi,

    As transit wind suggested, look on Ebay. You should be able to find a place that sells new headlight lenses for $25 w/ free ship. I bought one a while back. Looks to be very good quality-I have yet to install it though so the fit I cannot comment on but they look identical to an OEM lens. I think they are made by the seller-US made.

    I don't know of any, but if there were they'd likely be as expensive or more so than some good PnP complete units.
    If the reason you want lenses is due to the standard discoloration, factory included at no extra charge, hehe, then you may get good results by following the clean/polish procedure in the FAQ. It works pretty well on 7/9 lights.
    I don't recall if this part is in there;
    Start with 2000 wet or dry sandpaper, wet, then go to scratch polish, possibly with a buffing wheel to make it go faster.
    This may be sufficient, but I usually take the unit out and clean the inside, especially using alcohol.

      I've found that most of these plastic covers (86-93) come off pretty easy. I spent 20+ on a kit to try and make the old one look like new. Didn't work. The inside of the lens is not flat and even though it looked somewhat better and less green it didn't work well.


      Ebay has lenses for around $25. Use some silicon adhesive and replace the front lens.
