Key cylinder removal - ignition 120-130

Ok, I've been trying to remove the key cylinder for the igntion and I can't get it out. I see a botton(?) on the side, but it doesn't push in or do anything. Is there a trick that I'm missing?

Is the ignition in the "on" position? If not, you will not be able to push the button.

Like George said: You need to have key inserted, turned to "ON" and then depress the small button.

Is there a way to remove it without key?

Or you can drill out the pins and replace the cylinder. You still have to get the cylinder to the "on" position to remove it. Messy but an option.
