Reassembly after a heater core replacement: electrical/wiring question 900

Hi all,

Although I did (I think) a decent job of documenting the heater core job, I didn't document wiring because most of the connections are keyed and color coded.

On the driver's side of the center console, there are the purple and orange connections to the air bag sensor under the seat. There is a yellow connector and a couple of black ones. No problems there.

There is also a gray connector with 3 wires (yellow, blue/white, black/white) for which I can't find a home. Did I miss something, or is this a connection for an option that I don't have?

Thanks,

Monty

I believe, although I could be wrong, that this plug is associated with the "Memory Seat" option available with this car.

      That would make sense.

      As always, thanks!

Reassembly after a heater core replacement: electrical/wiring question 900

      Dear Hillbilly,

Hope you're well. You're correct. The car in question likely has manually-adjustable seats. The wiring diagram for a '94 940 shows that Connector 157 is used, when a powered seat is present.

      Hope this helps.

      Yours faithfully,

      Spook

Reassembly after a heater core replacement: electrical/wiring question 900

    Dear montysano,

Hope you're well. I understand the connector has three wires. Are there unused slots on the connector, or are there only three, all of which are "occupied"?

I ask, because three-wire connectors are few on the 940. I've checked the wiring diagram for the '94 940 (I don't have the diagram for the '95 94) and can't find a three-wire connector under the dash.

Hope to help, in due course.

    Yours faithfully,

    Spook

      Spook,

First of all, this is a '94 940. And, you are correct: it's a gray 4-pin connector with only 3 of the slots occupied. It's not under the dash, but hangs down alongside the driver's side of the center console with the other connectors listed above.

      Thanks,

      Monty
