? 240 Front End Alignment Details ? 200

The best independent shop I ever used is no longer in business and I need a front end alignment. My second choice shop is run by a competent guy with many years experience who flies solo. His equipment is not as state-of-the-art as my former favorite, but it is paid off (guess that's why he is still in business).

Is there any thing regarding the peculiarities of an alignment of a 240 which will not show up in his Hunter alignment info which I should relate to him?

Thanks, one and all,
Rich

Any camber adjustment will require toe adjustment tweaking.

As long as his equipment is in calibration, nothing particularly difficult about aligning a 240. In addition to toe, the camber can be set on a 240, if he's been around he'll know this. The problem with alignment is that shops don't make any money on it, so I always try to find an independent guy, he may charge more, but it's generally worth it. Good luck.

There's really only the toe-in that's adjustable (you can set it accurately enough yourself with tape measures)... and that number changed once or twice over the course of the 240 evolution... so it's not super critical. We see alignment machines with lasers, and it makes us feel that the adjustment is done with quantum accuracy. In reality, it's pretty coarse.

Limited camber adjustment up front. Zero adjustment for anything in the rear. Anyone with any competence can do a 240 with ease using a alignment machine.
