Shuddering in steering wheel 900 1993

I have a 1993 940 wagon and when driving between 50-60 mph I get a shudder in the steering wheel when the road turns toward the left. Any suggestions what the problem may be?

In addition to the tie rod ends, the control rod outer rubber bushings cause much vibration when worn. If they have not been replaced in a long time, take a hard look at them.

I took the car to the shop to have the vehicle looked at this morning. It needs a ball joint and the bushings you mentioned. I plan to have it taken care of on Friday. Thanks for the info.

Before spending any money on it, you may want to try swapping front tires for rear just to see if by some chance it's a flaky tire.

How are your tires? Unusual wear in one or more tires could cause this.

I saw a similar 240 problem caused by a worn tie rod end. I want to say it was a left TR end on left turns, but it was a long time ago now.

Thanks for your responses. Tires are fairly new and I have been checking wear and have not seen anything unusual. I will rotate the tires first and if that does not help will check the tire rod ends.
