'Shudder no shudder' solved 200 1989

“Shudder no shudder” solved, so, after 2 posts on this "shuddering mystery", l took the brick into the shop, they removed the driveshaft, 3 U joints. Rear U joint almost pure rust, wouldn’t move side to side but did move up 'n down, barely. . Bad!! Other 2 U joints in great condition, but it only takes one.

Replaced that rear U joint, shudder gone. So, drive shaft can be the cause of shuddering also. Logical.

Thanks everyone for you inputs.

Yes, I just replaced the rear U-joint on my 93 that was shuddering on deceleration at 20 mph every time. Two of the bearing caps had very little grease in them and two were frozen, dry as a bone, and dusty rust fell out.
