Hi. For our ‘89 wagon, I want to replace the “well nuts” top of the roof for the roof rack. I will get them at a hardware store, BUT I need to have the accurate measurement of the size of the holes and I don’t want to remove the rack on ours until I actually have those nuts.

Im asking if anyone is able to get me that size and let me know please? No big hurry but I certainly would appreciate it. Cant find them even at the dealer and they don’t have them in their parts books. Neither does IPD. Thank you.

My GUESS is ¼"-20UNC but you'd better make sure by pulling one out and seeing if it screws into
a ¼"-20UNC nut. If it does, great. If not find a nut that it does screw into and get
wellnuts that size.
I believe this is pretty much what we told you when you posted the question before.

I have read 1/4 x 20 but you should confirm this by removing one.

I don't remember the answer but this question has been asked here before. Search the site for well nuts and you can get the specification.
