1987 240 keeps dying

I have been trouble shooting my 1987 240 for a couple weeks now. At this point, I can get the car started and Idle, but once I rev up to 2000 rpm while in park, the car will just shut off within 15 secs. Fuel pumps seem to be working just fine, 39.5 psi at the rail. I have been through the relay, swapped in different main fuel and transfer pumps, tested residual pressure at fuel pressure regulator and main fuel pump check valve, changed the 25 amp fuse, replaced all resistors inside the car, tested the AMM. If there is anything else I can take a look at, please help me out.

Thanks

1987 240 keeps dying EDIT #2

Hi,

These are the model years with wiring problems. You should take note that the ignition coil is powered by the rectangular firewall connector. I would make sure that the harness is still intact at this location, and also that the ignition coil is receiving power at the time of stall. You may want to bypass the harness and supply voltage directly to coil terminal #15.

If you fail, you should also ascertain that the engine has no intake air leaks, as this will throw the mixture lean, and in extreme cases will stall the engine.

Check the 25 amp fuse AND socket near the battery. This powers the entire injection system.
