power steering fluid 200 1991

I checked the power stering fluid and it was a milky white color. Certinly not the color of the fluid I toped it off with.
What would cause the color change Moisture?

Yes, that would be my first guess.

Check the condition of the cap gasket or seal. What condition are the boots on the steering rack.

What is the condition of the return hose?

If you are losing fluid, water may be coming in with the return fluid flow to the pump. This would be a long shot because I have never heard of such a thing on a P/S system. On refrigeration systems, if it is near empty, moisture will suck into the system.

Fix the entry points and get rid of the old stuff quickly!
Phil
