ignition and coil 444-544

Hello,
I was curious what is the preferred method to replace the ignition switch with armoured cable? I would like to keep it original, however my ignition switch is damaged, and my coil is cracked.

Does anyone sell the original set up? If not, what have you used for an ignition switch and coil (keeping the original distributor with points).

Thanks!
Mike in Portland

There are few options for that armored coil set up. If you still have the 6 volt unit, then I have a few of them rattling around. In the past, I've also cut away the "dead" coil, and worked out a way to install a new, regular coil in its place. Sort of does away with the security part of the unit, but it still looks original. Of course, if your ignition switch is also FUBAR, then replace the whole unit.
