TRUNK LIFT STRUTS ??? 444-544

Some time ago there was someone who had installed lift struts in the 544 trunk to hold it open. There was a discription on how to do it as well as the brand/number of the struts. I lost the original info and need help in finding a new source. PAUL, TACOMA

I sourced two of these. Followed instructions on earlier posts. Worked great.

Thanks very much for that link. I just ordered myself a set of the struts along with the brackets and ball studs to mount on the hinges. Great resource.

Sir, Just looking at your request for trunk struts (boot) did you mean the one's that fitted to the hinges , not the lid/body. I remember seeing them with diagrams but for the life of me I can't find this info anywhere, but I will keep looking . Will send you the info when I find it.
