I looked but didnt find any useful information on this.
What I would like to do is put a coolant expansion tank from a 940 or 850, Or any that work, into my 87-740.
Had anyone done this?
Id appreciate any info that you have.

    I had removed a 940 exp. tank then chiseled off the spot welded clip that holds it on. The weld(s) popped real easy. I want to install it on the 240 and use the 940 tank with the built in float. I'm pretty sure John Sargent did this some time back on a 740. Things to consider, bolt/screw the on clip with no interference to the tank install and removal, maybe drill and counter-sink the bracket and tap the strut for mounting. The next thing is making sure the clip is located so that the tank is level.

    The mounts are different. Don't bother, just use the old design but as noted install a loss-of-coolant sensor and float inside. My 740 has one and it works great.
