B230FT Burned Exhaust Valve Change 900 1991

I am preparing to replace a burned valve. Anyone has had any experience with the tools needed, especially the valve compressor? Is it a must, or is there any other way to pull the valve?

You need automotive 201.

This is not a lot but there is a photo of the tools.

A valve spring compressor is the easiest. You can use a big C clamp and a sleeve made out of a piece of pipe with a window cut out of it. You need the window to reach the collets. Remember that the whole contraption is spring loaded and wants to fly apart. It is a good idea to work in a very clean area as it will make finding the collets much easier.

While you are in there, it could be a good idea to look at the edges of the rest of the valves to see if they have any margin left, i.e. the edges are not sharp. If they are, you might as well replace them all.
