'91 245: Is the relay that dings also what powers the seat belt warning light? 200 1991

My car doesn't have that blue (I think) relay that dings when your seat belt is unbuckled. Is this why the red warning light by the A/C switch doesn't turn on when I start the car?

If the chime has been removed, as is often the case, the reminder light will not come on. Does the rear seat belt reminder light display?

The key reminder uses the same device so if there is no chime when you open the driver's door with the key in the ignition switch, most likely someone just took it out. Some people hate it.

How long have you owned the car? Maybe it's in the glovebox.

The rear seat belt reminder light is the light I was wondering about, it does not light up. I pulled the chime relay almost as soon as I got the car, it wasn't working right and making an awful wheezing noise (on top of which I hate the dinging anyway). I was just wondering if that's why the light doesn't come on, as you've confirmed to be the case.

      Thanks!
