Test your battery with a voltmeter both static and attempting start. Before you start replacing parts.
Did it die driving?
Come out one morning and refused to start?
Did it start before you replaced the parts?

battery is new. No,The parts were replaced about 6 mos, ago..It happened after I did the timing belt & seals..

Spark, fuel, compression, spark at the right time. Agree with below. Timing belt either not timed properly or check plug wires.

The new Bougicord wires seem to e defective,,very weak spark,,,hot blue spark at coil wire,,warm weak spark at plug wire//
BUT the most obvious thing seems to be either I have a fuel leak & or someone stole gas while I was sleeping!!!I think I had 4 gals at least when it got towed back,,will dump some in & try again tomorrow...

Finally figured it out,,had a leak on the 1/2 line,,,fixed that& it started right up!!

1/2" fuel line,,& the gauga stopped working so I didn't know it was out of gas,,

for about day,,But come to think about it,,there had been some stumbles over that last 4 mos, every once in a while

Are you getting spark to the plugs?
|
|
|

"very weak..spark"
You mentioned fuel pumps (plural) so I assume you have a Bosch car vs Rex-Regina. Have you tried unbolting the ignition power stage and cleaning up its interfacing surfaces with the body chassis? I believe it's mounted to the inner LH fender in the engine compartment on that model car.
Also, might you have another coil you could swap in as a test?

Rex Regina,,,yeah I did take it & the plate its mounted on off & cleaned all surfaces w sandpaper,,
|
|
|
|
If it's a Regina, that "plate" is a heatsink, and there should be a layer of special heat-conducting paste between it and the electronic amplifier. If you sanded the surfaces clean, it won't run for long.
Google "heatsink paste" or compound for what you need.
